The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.

Job Summary

This position will support multiple Lines of Business, and will lead individual or multiple captures, owning the process, to mature opportunities for a winning solution for the Naval Electronics Business Unit. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage captures for our Naval Electronics Business Unit
  • Lead major capture efforts (priority pursuits) to successful completion
  • Develop capture strategy, internal and external teaming, business plans and marketing, and executive engagement plan
  • Lead and facilitate win strategy development including technical, management, teaming, past performance, staffing, pricing, etc.
  • In collaboration with Business Development, lead the development of customer profiles, including customer needs, issues, and goals
  • Lead and coordinate competitive assessments, determining strengths and weaknesses and potential competitors and teaming opportunities
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and SMEs to develop solutions that offer customer recognized value, are priced competitively, are executable, and will be evaluated favorably
  • Prepare and lead milestone reviews and other reviews as required
  • Develop M&S/B&P spend plans and track all associated expenses with capture efforts
  • Manage capture personnel, coordinate with responsible lines/accounts, align resources required for pursuit of opportunities, develop and improve processes, manage B&P budgets, report metrics/manage risks and effectively lead growth 
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications

  • 10+ years - Bachelor’s degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of successful capture management
  • Deep understanding of the DoD acquisition process 
  • Knowledgeable in marketing and experience developing a competitive marketing strategy
  • Well developed skills in the area of planning, organizing, negotiation, and communication
  • Must possess outstanding analytical skills
  • Previous experience in business operations helpful
  • Experience with acquisitions, joint ventures, due diligence necessary
  • Demonstrated successful executive presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
