Job Summary

The ERP A&F and Labor Senior Business Systems Analyst contributes toward planning, designing, developing, and launching of efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes .  This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.  Also responsible for reporting their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues to management.  Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills contributing toward maximizing the benefit of ERP and related IT system investments.    The initial focus will be on business systems surrounding Labor Collection (TESS) and Cost point Accounting and Finance with emphasis on Labor modules.

Job Responsibilities

•    Contribute toward the planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.  This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.  Also responsible for generating and compiling reports based upon findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.  Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize ERP systems.
•    Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues including responding to ERP Help Desk tickets
•    Participate and eventually lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
•    Independently review and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of initial system focus above and extending into related sub-systems and work on developing strategies for further improving or leveraging these systems in conjunction with immediate manage and overall ERP team
•    Collaborate in planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
•    Create and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives addressing existing and/or potential trouble areas across the organization related to ERP systems and sub-systems
•    Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application programmers
•    Lead and perform in-depth testing, including directing end-user during their surveys and acceptance testing, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
•    Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems with a preferred train the trainer approach
•    Lead development, testing and implementation of business systems related to labor in TESS 10 and HCM within Cost point, ensuring solutions adhere to specifications and address business needs
•    Coordinate with end users and ERP technical staff to implement and maintain systems that utilize industry best practices to meet business objectives, while maintaining security and integrity of the data, system, and network.
•    Develop project plans/tasks, provide direction and coordinate project activities associated with the installation, evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of business solutions and when required, manage a small cross-functional project team to implement chosen solutions that require ERP system expertise
•    Review and monitor progress of project(s) to ensure accuracy and timeliness and provide periodic reports to management as needed
•    Provide functional direction, technical expertise and mentoring to less experienced personnel
•    Review, prepare, and coordinate support in user training and documentation and provide technical assistance for post-implementation support issues
•    Provide service desk and technical support to users for more complex issues
•    Devise solutions to system-related problems and issues through coordination with users, other ERP team members, and Deltek Customer Support to assess and identify probable conflicts and investigate diverse data elements and sources


•    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Industrial Technology, Computer Sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience
•    A self-starter with experience across Deltek products TESS 9/10 and Cost point required or an equivalent 
•    Ability to interpret and explain terminology, technology and business issues to technical, general user, management, and executive levels
•    Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and responsibility within a dynamic ERP team
•    Ability to work effectively across functional groups and to facilitate or participate in problem solving workshops or design sessions as needed
•    Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
•    Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
•    Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management, other IT professionals and end-users as well as third parties such as Deltek Customer Support or outside consultants
•    Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
•    Open and responsive to change demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement by identifying and actively responding with sensitively to the needs of all customers
•    MS 365 product familiarity with a minimum of proficiency in Excel, Word, Power point and other tools required to complete job above.
•    Ability to use Cognos or equivalent reporting solutions and convey to Cognos reporting group business requirements as well as validate related reporting changes where needed
