Job Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely with and assist engineers in various assignments
  • Code in C/HDL targeting microcontroller and/or FPGA platforms
  • Develop PC based Python scripting to communicate with the embedded FW platform
  • Debug issues, investigate possible solutions and present findings
  • Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the business
  • Conduct testing under the supervision of engineers; Testing may range from dedicated software testing on PC platforms to integrated testing of firmware suites on embedded platforms
  • Complete assigned tasks on time, gather and assemble data for engineers, may be required to help conduct research
  • Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers, assist engineers with appropriate design details
  • Interest in and experience with digital electronic circuits, programming and/or embedded systems
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build a good network
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Firmware/ECE Engineering student; some progress towards firmware engineering degree
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
  • Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn 

The salary range for this position is ($22.07/hour-$31.57).  This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
