Position Summary:

Systems Engineering will be involved with the requirements management for new and existing systems/sub-systems and additionally include determining architectural definition, determining interface partitions, determining interface definitions, performing requirement solicitation, performing requirements capture, performing requirements analysis, performing requirements allocations, performing requirements decomposition, assisting in trade analysis, supporting modeling, supporting sequence diagramming, performing requirements to specification conversion, defining requirements verification approaches, linking requirements for traceability, performing reporting of requirements metrics, defining TPM, assessing requirements risks, and supporting formal requirements reviews and audits.   

 

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Perform requirements capture and management tailored to the product’s life cycle stage and program execution phase
•    Manage requirements, specifications and compliances traceability in IBM Rationale DOORS v9.6
•    Support Verification and Validation scope and planning to ensure requirements compliance
•    Ensure appropriate traceability of all requirements, specifications and compliances
•    Manage Primary and Critical Item Development Requirements
•    Participate in formal Requirements Reviews
 

Job Responsibilities Part II

•    Research and implement industry and USG standards, regulations, specifications and best practices as each requirement, specification or compliance dictates
•    May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
•    Ability to work independently, regular reporting of progress and status
•    Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
•    Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
•    Provides technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
•    Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

 

 
 
Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related technical field plus a Systems Engineering certificate or a related technical field plus IBM Rationale DOORS formal training certificate
•    A minimum of 5 years of system engineering RMS experience
•    Minimal exposure of 3 years managing requirements on a technical program
•    Experience full life cycle systems engineering is preferred
•    Exposed to formal auditable requirements is preferred
•    Ability to write DXL is preferred
•    Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
