Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician will collect data and reviews documentation for conformance, accuracy and completeness; coordinate and/or inspect product for conformance to drawings and documentation; interpret and apply industry standards such as IPC 610, ANSI J-STD-001; assist Engineers with development of inspection plans, MRB investigations and process surveillance/audit activities: assist with Calibration - data collection, coordinating and performing calibration activities, and assisting with verification of equipment and tooling status and improvement opportunities.  This position will be responsible for the overall sustainment of Quality Management on the Production Floor.

Job Responsibilities

•   Inspect torque tools, ovens, chambers, oscilloscopes, cameras, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements.
•   Implements innovative solutions and best practices involved in quality management control for Production Work Centers.
•   Cross functionally supports stakeholders in identifying non-conforming conditions that present existing or impending defective conditions within the laboratory environment or equipment. 
•   Oversees the preparation of calibration plans and checklists for torque verification inspections in production labs.
•   Aids with data collection and root cause analysis investigations for identified non-conformance which accordingly result in relevant notices and reports
•   Initiates calibration and removal of non-conforming equipment
•   Creates purchases requests for outside calibration after completing inspection and collection of non-conforming equipment.
•   Perform Periodic inspections of Laboratory Environmental conditions, including ESD measures and particle count measurements as well as inspections and maintenance on laboratory machines as required. 
•   Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization


•    Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area; manufacturing discipline is preferred. 
•    5 years experience in manufacturing or related area
•    Experience in the calibration; familiarity with ISO and NIST calibration standards 
•    Proficiency in measurement devices (torque measuring tools, thermocouples, thermometers, etc) for mechanical and electrical part verification and compliance
•    Experience reading calibrating manuals and performing traceable measurement settings and conformity specifications against requirements.
