Job Summary
The Sr. Systems Manager will be involved with the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new and / or existing systems / sub-systems. The role may include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others; determining system specifications, and support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed). In addition, as a working manager, this position will be responsible for managing a team of engineers on complex activities and completion on time and budget; have the ability to manage a technical group independently.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and track requirements levied through Statement of Work and contract flow-down documents (Mil-Std’s, DFAR’s, etc.)
- Experience implementing ISO/IEC 12207:2017 in development of system and software engineering life cycle processes
- Develop, document, manage requirements flow-down from system level to sub-system
- Develop/train staff in execution of Mil-Std testing protocols and procedures
- Develop/train staff to ensure rigor associated with formal verification/validation testing
- Oversee execution of test, ensuring validity of configuration under test and validity of data
- Define/develop standardized (internal) test report formats for inclusion into customer deliverables
- Manage development of R&D test automation software development (Python)
- Ensure alignment in software requirements and implementation with internal requirements
- Manage and standardize system analysis methods across product lines where applicable
- Manage configuration of software suites to ensure test/data traceability to formal and informal test activities
- Ensure proper SE rigor in all production and sustaining activities
- Develop/manage processes for ensuring requirement tracking and management in transition to manufacturing
- Work with MFG Eng to develop, document, manage manufacturing insets and their impact to system compliance
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Experience using DOORS for requirements management and tracking
- Experience ISO/IEC 12207:2017 in developing system and software engineering life cycle processes
- Experience working within the DoDi 5000.02 Defense Adaptive Acquisition framework
- Knowledge of the requirements and constraints associated with AS9100 accreditation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 7+ years of experience
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD Secret-level security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The pay scale for this position is $159,298/year - $247,309/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the pay scale for a position including but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic locations, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
