Job Summary

The Senior Assembler performs advanced assembly, rework, inspection, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, cable/harness, and printed circuit board assemblies. Working with minimal supervision, this role builds quality products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, solder, rework, and repair complex components and subassemblies.
  • Read and follow drawings, wiring diagrams, work orders, bills of material, and process instructions.
  • Use hand tools, fixtures, measuring devices, and production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to verify quality and workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot routine production, tooling, and material issues; escalate complex concerns as needed.
  • Support first-article builds, engineering changes, process improvements, and Lean/6S activities.
  • Complete production, inspection, and labor documentation accurately.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, PPE, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain an organized work area and assist with training less-experienced team members.Must be trained across all assembly stages, work w/Engineering to build 1st articles by interpreting print/specification with no process provided and the ability to interpret/assemble all units in dept


 

The Right Candidate Will Bring

  • IPC, soldering, rework, or inspection certification relevant to the work area.
  • Experience supporting first-article builds, engineering changes, or continuous-improvement activities.
  • Experience in a defense, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty area e.g. welding, tool making

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

 

The salary range for this position is $22.67/hour - $33.90. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
