Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with Electronic Warfare (EW) and SIGINT requirements and systems design experience in our Palm Bay, FL office.  The role will directly support EW Chief Engineer in design, customer support and execution of SIGINT/EW programs.  The role will also support EW internal research and development projects to ensure alignment with technical roadmap and business strategy and support the integration of open standards such as SOSA and CMOSS into new and existing products. Some remote flexibility allowed plus we work a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)!

Job Responsibilities

  • Directly support Electronic Warfare (EW) Chief Engineer in design, customer support, and execution of EW programs.
  • Involved with the analysis, design, development and implementation of new and/or existing systems/sub-systems.  May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others.  Determine system specifications.  Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed). 
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable 
  • Support EW internal research and development projects to ensure alignment with technical roadmap and business strategy
  • Support the integration of open standards such as SOSA and CMOSS into new and existing products
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems 
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required
  • Lead problem solving efforts and perform root cause corrective action assessments
  • Analyze designs as necessary.  Responsible for higher-level product line architecture and providing guidance and oversight to multiple development teams working on different products or technologies to ensure the technologies interoperate or connect to each other appropriately.
  • Be a key member of the new business capture team supporting pursuits by developing and presenting new concepts, technologies or applications as part of Business Development and Program Management team. 
  • Develop trusted engineering contacts with the customer.  Become a part of the customer’s design team, looking out for their best interests
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
  • Participate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • May mentor and coach the work of others as assigned
  • Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Support for field testing and troubleshooting of prototype systems, including field test and demo events with customers

Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field and 3+ years of relevant experience; or BS and 5+ years experience (or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience)
  • Intel, Cyber, EW experience a plus
  • Digital signal processing and RF circuit design experience desired
  • Experience in multiple engineering disciplines a plus
  • Experience with IBM Rationale DOORS and Enterprise Architect desired
  • AI/ML (development of or integration with) experience with real-world (deployed) success strongly desired
  • Able to obtain a DOD security clearance (current clearance preferred)
  • *This position has the option of being either fully onsite or partly remote (onsite Tues-Thurs) in our Palm Bay, FL office.  Must live within commuting distance of the facility regardless of choice.
