The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations.
- Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.
- May prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations.
- May assign work to drafters and/or technicians.
- Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors
- Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Involved with the design and development of manufacturing test systems for performance testing of products for product acceptance.
- Perform basic software development and debugging of test systems in multiple software tools.
- Review detail designs to create test protocols.
- Assist technicians in the build of the test hardware.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software or computer engineering or related engineering discipline
- 3+ years experience in developing, integrating, and maintaining automated test software
- Generation of: TRD, STP, SVD, SDD, FSM and requirements traceability, detailed design, test plans and related reviews for PDR, CDR, TRR, and PRR
- Experience developing test software for CCA functional testers as In Circuit Test (ICT) Flying Probe, electromechanical subassembly testers, and environmental screening systems for a production environment
- Practical experience and hands on knowledge of various test equipment architecture including GPIB, VXI, PXI, TCPIP, RS232/422/485, RS170, MIL-STD-1553, and JTAG interface
- Experience with electronic design and PCB design
- Experience developing a variety of applications, from simple applications to large integrated test suites with full documentation packages
- Experience with SQL database queries
- Experience with DOS, Power shell, and scripting
- Develop manual and automated test stations, define equipment, software use such as LabVIEW
- Willing to work on old, simple projects as well as new complex
- Self-motivated and good team player
