Job Summary
At Leonardo DRS, supply chain performance directly impacts our ability to deliver critical capabilities to customers who depend on them most. As an Analyst I, Supply Chain, you will help turn data into action, supporting sourcing decisions, proposal activity, cost visibility, and supplier performance across programs and business units. This is a high-visibility early-career opportunity to build your expertise in analytics, purchasing, and program support while partnering with teams across supply chain, program management, and operations. You will contribute to decisions that influence cost, delivery, and overall execution, while gaining exposure to the systems, strategies, and relationships that keep the business moving.
Essential Functions
- Analyze supply chain, commodity, purchasing, and proposal data to support informed business and program decisions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that track lead times, on-time delivery, design-to-cost performance, requisition timing, and other key supply chain metrics.
- Support proposal development by monitoring target costs, validating bid inputs, and helping business units assess trends and risks tied to mechanical and electrical commodities.
- Partner with buyers, suppliers, program teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve communication, expedite orders, and address potential issues early.
- Prepare requests for quotation and help gather pricing, schedule, and sourcing information from suppliers.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and system data including invoices, purchase orders, logs, and related files.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate requisitions and improve leverage pricing while supporting more efficient purchasing processes.
- Use Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights for supply chain and business performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- 0–2 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, business analysis, proposal support, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of supply chain tools, processes, and basic purchasing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Experience with or exposure to reporting and performance metrics used to assess program, commodity, or operational performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to work in data-driven environments and learn reporting platforms quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Ability to maintain accuracy, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications/Additional Skills
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other high-technology environments.
- Exposure to earned value, cost accounting, variance analysis, or proposal costing.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of business functions such as finance, contracting, logistics, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Knowledge of government or export-related requirements such as DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, or DFARS.
- Interest in developing expertise in supplier performance, commodity trends, and cross-functional program support.
- Ability to be within a commutable distance of Melbourne, FL is preferred.
