Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to support program finance in effective and efficient execution of assigned programs. The Program Control Analyst participates in the setup, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. Responsibilities include significant interface with program finance, contracts, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, etc. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
 

Job Responsibilities

• Complete Project Set Up and ensure compliance with contract structure and company policies and procedures
• Review and approve Contract and Sales Order documentation
• Ensure revenue is recorded according to the EAC and in compliance with IFRS 15
• Analyze, Reconcile and Validate Work in Process, Revenue, Profit/Loss Balances etc.
• Ensures adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) FAR, DFAR, SOX and all corporate policies
and procedures as they relate to contract performance and financials
• Analyze subsidiary ledgers and reconcile to general ledger
• Monitor unbilled receivables/advance payments and perform research and follow up to assist in clearing them off the books
as needed
• Works on complex challenges; may lead and provide guidance to various levels of staff
• Participate in team efforts to improve functioning of the department and generate needed results
• Performs assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by
management to measure meeting objectives
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Overtime required as necessary
 

Job Responsibilities Part II

• Apply principles of accounting to monitor and analyze financial information, and prepare specialized reports
• Balance books and prepare accounting statements (i.e., profit/loss, income, cash flow, etc.) and schedules
• Record assets and liabilities and other financial transactions
• Maintain records of disbursements and expenses
• Review accounts and reports for accuracy
• May contribute to the design or modification of accounting systems
• Contribute to improving processes and procedures that accurately capture, track and report on financial transactions
• Ensure adherence to and communication of accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 2 years directly related of experience, preferably in a government contracting environment (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
  • Knowledge of Costpoint, Excel, Power Query are a plus
