Title: Process Engineer


Job Location: Lemont Furnace, PA (Uniontown area)

 

Overall Summary: Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine time studies, lean practices, process development, fabrication instructions, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
The Process Engineer is responsible for performing tasks as directed which includes the following but is not limited to these tasks:

  • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products
  • Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed
  • Compile and evaluate product design and test data
  • Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC
  • Involved in implementing lean manufacturing tools on the production floor
  • Perform time studies, calculate tact time vs cycle time, and develop basic manufacturing flow and capacity plans
  • Involved in the development of manufacturing process plans, test requirements, and manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
  • Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility
  • Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations
  • May prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
  • Responsibilities are limited in scope
  • Follow standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable Engineering field
  • Specialities may include manufacturing, production, industrial, tooling, processing, and robotics

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 20 lbs. up to 25% of time
  • Walking:  up to 25% of time
  • Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
  • Sitting: up to 75% of time
  • Travel: up to 10% of time

 

AAC works on a 9/80 compressed schedule, with employees working 80 hours in 2 weeks and every other Friday off.
