Job Title: Engineer I Logistics

 

Job Location: Lemont Furnace, PA (Uniontown area)

 

Position Summary

Assist with the analysis of projects/contracts to determine logistics requirements.  Assist with analyzing, organizing, planning and administering various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities.   

 

Primary and Essential Accountabilities

  • Assist with the analysis of projects/contracts to determine logistics requirements
  • Assist with analyzing, organizing, planning and administering various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities
  • Assist with development of logistics plans to enhance the distribution of goods and supplies
  • Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements to assist in developing strategies in achieving desired delivery times
  • Support and participates in technical activity
  • Assist in the design, development, analysis, documentation and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
  • May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
  • Provide regular reporting of progress and status
  • Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • May participate in preparation of less complex proposals
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

 

Secondary Accountabilities

  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field

 

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting (up to 0-20 lbs.): up to 0-25% of time
  • Walking: up to 0-25% of time
  • Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 0-10% of time
  • Sitting: up to 0-75% of time
  • Travel: up to 0-10% of time

 

AAC works on a 9/80 compressed work schedule whereby employees work 80 hours in 2 weeks with every other Friday off.
