The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely production of quality products as assigned.
  • MDP releases - Review MDP releases for completeness of content, component obsolescence, DRS furnished material, past/current quality issues, need for DRS in-process functional testing.
  • Deviations - Initiate or review for release deviations as needed to build product with exceptions to the released documentation. Assure deviation clearly states the description and reason for the exception, and that the correct part numbers and purchase order is entered.
  • Supplier Support - Participate in in calls with suppliers along with DRS supply chain and program management. Guide suppliers as need to understand the product documentation and assure that issues are resolved without jeopardizing product quality.
  • Customer Support - Participate in in calls with customers along with DRS supply chain and program management. Assure that customer requirements are conveyed to our suppliers.
  • Program Management / Supply Chain / Operations Support - Work with the DRS integrated product team to manage production of assigned products.
  • Obsolescence mitigation - Work with DRS component engineering to stay informed of component obsolescence and work with DRS engineering to identify alternate components when the specified parts are not available.
  • Quotes – BOE with Purchase part number review & at-risk material evaluation - Generate basis of effort information to estimate product engineer activities to support a customer request for quote. Activities would include MDP releases, obsolescence mitigation and addressing any known quality issues.

Job Responsibilities Part II

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Fluency in technologies and application domain
  • Ability to lead a technical group independently
  • Experience with NGATS and DESTS is a PLUS
