Job Summary

Support Leonardo DRS Technology and Equipment in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation, and repair. Job Responsibilities

  • Support all Field Service activities
  • Setup and support demonstrations Support DRS equipment in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation, or repair
  • Ability to work independently
  • Regular reporting of progress and status
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • Participates in preparation of proposals
  • May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization

 

Secondary Accountabilities

  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience and Associates Degree or equivalent experience and education or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Must have a working knowledge of electronics, fault isolation, and troubleshooting technique
  • Experience with Bradley Fighting Vehicle (M2/M3-A3, A4), Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) and the ability to work alone at off-site locations is required. 
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, identifying basic and advanced circuits
  • Utilize legacy and advance test equipment to perform troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate basic personal/electrical safety
  • Understand the steps required to prevent damage to electronics due to electrostatic discharge
  • Ability to work independently with little or no Supervision
  • Familiar with the Microsoft suite of computer software: Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with a strong degree of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within an Inclusive Team Environment
  • Ability to obtain a Passport
  • Willingness to travel (both US and Foreign) as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
