The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.

Job Summary

Jira is the operational backbone of our organization — spanning the full business lifecycle from initial customer quoting, through production and manufacturing, all the way to product returns and warranty management. It is equally central to our Program Management and Engineering teams. As Jira adoption has grown across every major department, so too has the complexity of our workflows, integrations, and customizations.

We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator / Developer to own, develop, and continuously improve these systems. This is a hands-on technical role that sits at the intersection of business process and platform engineering. The right candidate will translate requirements from diverse stakeholders into robust Jira configurations, custom workflows, and data integrations — while also serving as a collaborative partner on ongoing implementation projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain our Jira Data Center environment, including user management, permission schemes, notification schemes, and project configurations.
  • Design and implement complex custom workflows using Conditions, Validators, and Post Functions tailored to the needs of Engineering, Production, Product Management, and other teams.
  • Develop and maintain ScriptRunner (Groovy) scripts to power advanced workflow automation, custom field behaviors, and business logic.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Jira and our SQL databases, including writing queries to pull dynamic lists and field values into Jira and saving workflow-generated data back to external databases.
  • Partner with process owners and department stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable, scalable Jira solutions.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports that provide meaningful visibility to teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on concurrent Jira implementation projects, owning specific workstreams end-to-end while coordinating with other contributors.
  • Maintain technical documentation for workflows, scripts, and configurations to support knowledge transfer and system continuity.
  • Stay current with Jira platform updates and contribute to planning for our anticipated migration from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator, with deep knowledge of workflow design including Conditions, Validators, and Post Functions.
  • Proficiency with Jira ScriptRunner (Groovy-based scripting) for workflow automation, custom listeners, and advanced post functions.
  • Experience with SQL — including writing queries to retrieve and manipulate data — and integrating database-driven content into Jira workflows and field configurations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret varied and sometimes ambiguous stakeholder requests into clear, implementable technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Jira permission schemes, notification schemes, screens, and field configurations in a Data Center environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage technical implementations from requirement gathering through deployment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or operations environments where Jira spans cross-functional business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with or exposure to Jira Cloud, or familiarity with Data Center-to-Cloud migration considerations.
  • Experience designing and building Jira dashboards and filters, including selecting appropriate visualization types based on user needs and data types.
  • Familiarity with the broader Atlassian ecosystem, including Confluence and Bitbucket (direct work with these tools is not required, but knowledge is a plus).
  • Groovy or general programming experience beyond ScriptRunner (e.g., Java, Python) is a bonus.

U.S. Citizenship required.
