Job Summary
DRS RADA Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in Germantown, Maryland. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior-level staff with various analyses for the specific area of expertise
- Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation
- Maintain information on computer systems
- Assist in expediting orders
- Assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates
- Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity item
- Prepare standard requests for quotation
- Monitor target costs against proposal costs
- May help to ensure the appropriate contract flow-downs are identified and passed on to Purchasing
- May interact with Program Management on Program Cost issues and required details
- Help identify requisitions to consolidate in order to obtain leverage pricing.
- Assist with the review of open requisitions weekly Review placement to requisition need date and length of time in purchasing
- Assist with communication between buyers, suppliers, Program teams
- May monitor weekly Program meetings for any “potential” issues that can be addressed early on
- Improve understanding of purchasing relationship to the overall company plans and strategy
- Review and validate any bids during customer negotiations and customer program reviews. Supply copies of POs/LOCs. Prepare charts for customer presentations
- Develop supply chain dashboard for performance of supply chain across 8 business units
- Create reporting to highlight performance by program across all business units involving lead-time, on-time delivery, design to cost targets, requisition dates, material requirement dates
- Maintain PPV reporting covering all business unit activity
- Support business units in creating proposals
- Advise business units on trends and risks associated with mechanical or electrical commodities
- Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
- Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information
Job Responsibilities Part II
- Analyze supply chain performance by tracking key metrics such as on-time delivery, lead times, inventory turns, backlog, supplier performance, and material availability.
- Identify supply risks and constraints—including material shortages, long-lead items, capacity limitations, and supplier disruptions—and recommend mitigation plans.
- Perform data analysis and reporting using ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools to provide accurate, timely visibility to supply chain leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with procurement, program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance to resolve material issues and support program schedules.
- Maintain data integrity across supply chain systems, including item master data, bills of material, purchase order status, inventory records, and supplier information.
- Support the timely expediting of purchase orders to help ensure materials and services are delivered in accordance with required schedules.
- Support Buyers by coordinating with suppliers to obtain pricing, confirm availability, and establish required delivery schedules.
- Prepare and issue standard Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers in support of sourcing and procurement activities.
- May support the identification of applicable contract flow-down requirements and ensure they are communicated to the Purchasing team.
- Assist in identifying requisitions that can be consolidated to increase purchasing leverage and secure more favorable pricing.
- Support business units in developing proposal inputs, including sourcing data, cost estimates, supplier quotations, and material availability information.
- Develop and maintain reporting that highlights supply chain performance by program and across business units, including lead times, on-time delivery, and other key performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience
- 1 year experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis, highly desirable
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations, highly desirable
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this position is $57,067.00/year-$70,000.00. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
