Associate Logistics Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow, equipment readiness, and a safe working environment
  • Manage and maintain the full inventory of engineering assets, including test equipment, tools, lab hardware, drone systems, and radar units; ensure all assets are properly tracked, calibrated, serviceable, and available for engineering use
  • Serve as the primary custodian and point of accountability for engineering drone assets, including scheduling, pre/post-flight inspections, airworthiness documentation, maintenance logs, and storage in compliance with applicable regulations and company policy
  • Oversee the management, handling, and operational readiness of radar systems and related test equipment used in engineering lab environments; coordinate with engineering teams to ensure radar assets are properly configured, maintained, and documented
  • Lead and support engineering teams with hands-on lab tasks, technical troubleshooting, and project execution
  • Work independently on daily tasks and manage competing priorities across multiple projects
  • Oversee the design, build, and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures, and material handling equipment; coordinate implementation and integration into lab operations
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining process documentation, bills of materials, route sheets, and equipment maintenance records
  • Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, and the nature of technical problems; support design-for-manufacture initiatives
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products, including custom cable builds and soldered assemblies
  • Set up and conduct tests of units and components; analyze test results relative to design and test objectives, adjust equipment to bring within specification, and record test procedures, results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
  • Maintain and expand lab network infrastructure to support engineering operations and connected test equipment
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods, and process improvements
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance projects and facility improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for lab-related inquiries, scheduling, and resource allocation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing a laboratory, engineering workspace, or similar technical environment
  • Working knowledge of shop/laboratory equipment, tools, and safety practices
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 3D printing technologies and additive manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, infrastructure setup, and connected lab environments
  • Proficiency in asset management practices including inventory tracking and equipment lifecycle management
  • Hands-on experience with cable building and custom wiring harness fabrication
  • Proficiency in soldering (through-hole and/or surface mount) for electrical assembly and repair
  • FAA Part 107 certification or experience as a licensed drone pilot, including mission planning and safe UAS operations
  • Experience with drone maintenance, inspection, repair, and airworthiness documentation — particularly relevant given the company's focus on counter-drone and radar applications

U.S. Citizenship required.

The salary range for this position is $19.49/hour - $26.80/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
