Senior Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations. Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations. May prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. May assign work to drafters and/or technicians.
  • Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors
  • Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

 

Job Responsibilities Part II

  • Analyze product failure data and production test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions
  • Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed.
  • Design and direct processes and controls for all production operations
  • Monitor process performance, identify gaps
  • Work with other engineers to resolve gaps in processes
  • Guide technical staff in developing processes for specific uses in products
  • Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors relating to process design objectives
  • Review new product plans, and make recommendations various processes to be used, based on quality and production objectives
  • Review data and support data analyst with metric evaluation and relevance
  • Support industrial engineer in determining the effectivity of the manufacturing and production processes on the floor
  • Conduct training sessions on new processes, or manufacturing methods for employees
  • Solve problems in several engineering fields, such as mechanical, electrical, and aerospace
  • Replicate the characteristics of processes and their impact, using tools such as Minitab.
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.
  • Update professional knowledge including tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
  • Experience or working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Power BI and Dashboard
