Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced RF Engineer in our Fort Walton Beach, FL office.  In this role, you will be responsible for the design of complex military grade Radar/Threat systems, analysis, documentation and support testing, systems integration, and system testing as well as responsible for the integration of several inhouse design modules and outside design modules.  Some remote flexibility allowed, relocation assistance available!

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with other engineers, including but not limited to electrical design engineer colleagues, system engineers, software engineers, project engineers, mechanical engineers and other engineering disciplines in order to meet requirements and deadlines specified by the project team
  • Responsible for the design of complex military grade Radar/Threat systems, analysis, documentation and support testing, systems integration, and system testing
  • Responsible for the integration of several inhouse design modules and outside design modules
  • Reviews customer specifications and requirements, derive requirements from older designs and develop designs to best support them, including cost and schedule as a key design variable
  • Responsible for driving technology and completion of activity on time and budget
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable  
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
  • Analyze designs as necessary
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required
  • Participate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals
  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced engineers


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Significant RF and radar systems design experience required
  • Experience in RF CCA level designs required
  • Experience in specifying high voltage power supplies, antenna pedestals, waveform generators, HV pulse modulators, generators, ECU’s, COTS computer systems, waveguides, and antennas
  • Experience in developing test plans, procedures, and reports on Radar systems
  • Experience in designing system cabling
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to ensure multiple assignments are completed properly and on time
  • Experience in waveform generators and HV power supply designs a plus
  • Able to travel for radar installations, as needed
  • Able to obtain a Secret Clearance (current preferred)
  • For compliance with Executive Order 14042 candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
  • This position has the option of being either fully onsite in our Fort Walton Beach office or partly remote (onsite Tues-Thurs).  Must live within commuting distance of the designated facility regardless of choice.
