Job Summary

The Vice President Supply Chain is the Corporate Central Strategic Sourcing Leader. This leader coordinates across all Businesses to Lead the Planning, Collection, Consolidation, and supply chain sourcing of strategic components, commodities, and other supplies to ensure revenue risk mitigation, cost effectiveness, quality, and predictive supplies. In addition, this leader will create strategic relationships with key suppliers for leverage across the enterprise. This is also the leader for FAR/DFAR sourcing compliance.

Job Responsibilities

•    Develop, establish and execute strategic direction for Supply Chain while creating and implementing the vision for continuous improvement of supply chain processes at a detail level as well as higher organizational level 
•    Deliver business results including productivity, supplier performance (quality and delivery) and continuity of all direct materials and services 
•    Ensure quality and on-time performance for strategic sourcing of supply.
•    Ensure cost effective sourcing of strategic elements of the enterprise supply chain.
•    Leverage entire enterprise buying power, including, if possible, customer buying, and parent buying to show cost savings from bid baselines through execution.
•    Establish processes and ensures that these processes comply with Government regulations, Corporate and Company requirements
•    Ensure compliance within the business units and enterprise against compliant procurement policies and procedures
•    Work with leadership peers to establish methodologies to resolve process issues 
•    Periodically assist in proposal evaluation teams with a strong supplier selection process, technical evaluation and cost/price analysis 
•    Develop & maintain strong relationships across the organization & seek a full range of business solutions with vendors & supplier partners
•    Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company


•    Master’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, business or engineering with 20+ years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience. 
•    Expert knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures 
•    Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.  CPM Certification desired
•    Expert leadership and management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
•    A strategic thinker with a strong sense of time organization and urgency
•    Significant experience throughout the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction through obsolescence to include generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts.
•    Expert experience in strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts. 
•    Expert knowledge with earned value cost accounting and reporting and with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis. 
•    Significant experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations. 
•    Expert customer interface skills, expert problem-solving skills, and excellent presentation skills 
•    Must have demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control 
•    Technical skills including strong negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization; and knowledge of effective technology driven-sourcing processes.
•    Previous leadership experience in a matrix environment
•    Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities 
•    Must have excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills
