Job Summary

Perform administrative tasks in support of the warehouse and production floor. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support specifically related to warehouse and production activities
  • Maintain files, logs, records and other related documentation. Maintain information on computer systems. 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of projects, work methods and procedures
  • Recommend changes to improve efficiency
  • Gather, collect, record, track and verify data and information from multiple sources
  • Compile, review and analyze data
  • Use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations
  • May design processes to enhance work flow
  • Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures
  • This position typically spends 70% of their time supporting the function
  • Thorough understanding of general job aspects and moderate understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Process Discrepancy Reports (DRs)  for defective parts  and move material as required to the appropriate Non-Conforming Material  crib location(s)
  • Fill material shortages based on material loss or attrition on the manufacturing floor utilizing appropriation ERP system processes
  • Move material from the warehouse to the appropriate manufacturing location(s),  providing required MO paperwork and associated material status including shortages when present.
  • Expedite material through Receiving inspection when necessary

Job Responsibilities Part II

  • Perform material kit audits to insure the accuracy of material kits for manufacturing units
  • Perform periodic cycle counting activities to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Perform duties associated with maintaining a material warehouse including material put away and stocking , row/bin transfers and material picking to fill material kits for manufacturing operations
  • Manage and control the release of Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in MES ( Manufacturing Execution System)  adding serial numbers when required based on the specific products and drawing requirements
  • Close MOs in the ERP system and rollup and allocate completed parts and assemblies or move to stock depending on the open next assembly demands

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of experience
  • Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
  • Must have the ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team 
  • Must pay exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, produce work of the highest quality, and meet deadlines consistently
  • Must be proficient in office procedures and possess good writing and verbal skills
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance within a time period to be established by the Company
