Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless flow of materials and information across our supply chain, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will analyze supply chain data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and meet customer demands.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist department staff with various analyses for the specific area of expertise
- Review, classify, examine and analyze data in regards to supplier proposals
- Contact suppliers to obtain prices and schedule for potential new business
- Upload supplier quotes and provide recommended source of supply for proposals
- Input target costs and provide analysis against proposal costs
- Understand Manufacturing Bills of Materials and provide analysis
- Understand business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements, making recommendations on how to proactively reduce risk
- Lead discussions and provide input on proposal quote strategy
- Provide routine status and track outstanding actions and issues
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Attend weekly Program meetings and identify any “potential” issues that can be addressed early on
- Participate in Government proposal audits and provide backup and rationale to questions related to material costs
- Maintain professional relationships with internal customers
- Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
- Represent Supply Chain during customer negotiations and customer program reviews; review and validate any bids; supply copies of POs/LOCs; prepare charts for customer presentations
- Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations
- Strong customer interface skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
