Job Summary

The Inventory Control Manager oversees all inventory management activities to ensure the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. This role develops and implements inventory control processes to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and minimize excess or shortages. The manager collaborates with supply chain, operations, procurement, and finance to align inventory with production and business needs, while leading cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliations to ensure data integrity and support continuous operational improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's inventory control activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for  storing and distributing raw materials and finished products
  • Manage the receipt and storage of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and supplies
  • Monitor inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and defects 
  • Arrange for the return and replacement of defective items
  • Manage periodic and special inventories; accounts for inventory variances 
  • Develop and implement improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs
  • Plan and coordinate the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among  Warehouses
  • Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling. 
  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to establish structure, enforce processes, and maintain strict inventory control standards within a fast-paced operational environment. 
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success leading teams and holding personnel accountable to inventory accuracy, cycle counting schedules, and warehouse procedures.
  • Strong experience implementing and managing cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation processes. 
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Experience driving operational discipline, process compliance, and continuous improvement across inventory and warehouse operations.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
