Job Summary
As a software engineer you will be working within a team that develops, tests and maintains a suite of data collection, processing, storage and viewing tools supporting the development and testing of infrared sensors and systems. You will have exposure to cutting edge languages and frameworks within a business leading the innovation in the infrared space
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for software engineering tasks including requirements/user story definition, software application and library design, implementation, integration, verification, validation and maintenance.
- Responsible for adhering to the DRS engineering processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of experience in full stack web development/software engineering
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with at least one of the following languages/frameworks:
- TypeScript
- Python
- Go
- GRPC
- Microservices
- Experience with databases including relational and/or non-relational databases
- Experience with source control systems such as git
- College level mathematics (calculus, statistics, linear algebra, etc.)
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new software engineering technologies and methodologies
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and within the framework of a multi-discipline team
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
