Position Summary

DRS Infrared Sensors and Systems in Dallas, Texas specializes as a worldwide leader in thermal imagery and sensory solutions for commercial and military applications.

We are looking to add a new member to our Focal Plane Array team to help provide support for Process Engineering Activities on 1st or 2nd shift including but not limited to dispositioning of on hold material, aiding in moving development lots, and other support to insure the quality and manufacturability of the processes is maintained. This position will mostly focus on wet line processes. 

Basic Qualifications and Required Skills

•    U.S. Citizenship is required.
•    Associates Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent of education and experience
•    Experience: 2+ years experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Sustain multiple processes in a semiconductor fab
•    Assist Engineers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and on budget, results are documented, and reports are written.
•    Help monitor key process performance metrics to detect and solve problems and minimize the impact to product.
•    Provide technical knowledge and assistance to operations personnel.
•    Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills

  • •    Experience in multiple areas of semiconductor processing (e.g. plasma etch, thin film deposition, photolithography, wet cleans, dicing, die mount, etc.)
    •    Experience with a variety of resist strips, wet etch, and surface clean processes.
    •    Experience with SSEC, Marangoni, Semitool equipment is a plus.
    •    Effective verbal and written communication skills
    •    Ability to work with and train operators to insure specifications and procedures are followed.
    •    Ability to aid Engineers in writing Operation Specifications for Equipment and Processes in a clear and concise manner.
    •    Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions and willingness to ask questions when the instructions are not clearly understood.
    •    Ability to identify problem areas and work with Engineers to improve them in various areas of the fab.
    •    Ability and willingness to make decisions within the range of possess knowledge and understanding when more knowledge is needed.
    •    Desire to win and the ability to effectively integrate with the team
    •    Self-motivated and focused on developing and successfully implementing the team’s vision and goals
    •    Ability to effectively participate in multifunctional teams to improve yields, solve problems and implement corrective actions
    •    Strong interest in learning.

•    Stooping up to 10% of time

Work Conditions

•    Cleanroom up to 75% of time
