Location

  • Dallas, Texas
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • 2nd Shift Hours: 2pm - 10:30pm
  • Must be flexible with hours, future production demands require change in hours or days worked

Job Summary

As a leading supplier of infrared (IR) imaging, DRS NIS – Texas is seeking a process technician who will be responsible for inspecting, creating a computer based mining strategy, processing of films prior to the dicing process. Incumbent in this role is accountable for inspecting and mining parts according to product specific requirements and preparing them for dicing the films to maximize part yield. Position is critical to success of DRS IR imaging products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect semiconductor films after growth and planarization to identify defective regions.
  • Establish mining strategy maximizing number of semiconductor parts to be mined from material.
  • Use Photo resist, perform mount/demount processes, piece part handling, and DDR imaging
  • Etching and cleaning of material with acids and solvents.
  • Recognize, communicate, and respond to process and equipment deviations.
  • Collaborate with MBE team to help identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have piece part handling experience and excellent dexterity
  • Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and strict adherence to protocols
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Microscope proficiency
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
  • Compliance with all Personal Protective Equipment requirements

Desired Skills

  • Manufacturing process or quality assurance experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with Photo resist, epoxy mount/demount, DDR imaging system or similar
  • Experience creating Saw diagrams
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Spatial visualization skills and interests (origami, tailoring, 3D puzzles, Tetris)

Qualifications

  • Education:  Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience:  3+ Years Semiconductor experience working in a Class 100 clean room
