Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Direct and develop a team responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensure the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. Responsible for the development of assembly process, equipment and tools to aid in the manufacturing process. Review, evaluate and implement engineering changes and specification requirements. Lead the strategic decisions that affect manufacturing engineering. Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Review and approve detail designs for manufacturability and producibility. 

  • Plan, manage, and direct the overall production operations engineering activities of the Division or Department(s).  Coordinate the creation, development, design, and improvement of divisional products in conformance with established programs and objectives. Provide engineering advice and assistance to other departments as required
  • Responsible for formulating and recommending engineering policies and technical work assignments in accordance with project and company objectives
  • Advise appropriate personnel of the latest technical and engineering developments
  • Manage budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments and departments, as appropriate
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • Participate in preparation of proposals
  • Perform Design Reviews
  • Direct the work of others as assigned
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Secondary Accountabilities

  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • Direct all engineers in Division or Department(s)

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
