Job Summary
Responsible for electrical engineering activities while working with other engineers as part of an engineering team. Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, subsystems, and systems.
Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electronics systems. May include Hardware, Power Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Components or others. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed. Compile and evaluate design and test data. Analyze, develop and recommend design approaches.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, subsystems and systems
- Review designs from other engineers and provide critical feedback
- Analyze and provide recommendations to mitigate part obsolescence and diminishing sources of supply
- Use computer-aided engineering and other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
- Work collaboratively with other engineering team members
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status
- Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
- Develop models, simulations, and prototypes as necessary to mitigate key development risks Communicate clearly (written and oral)
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Job Responsibilities Part II
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
- Work collaboratively with other engineering team members
- Support the preparation of proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
- US Citizenship required
- Active US Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance required
