Job Summary

DRS Sustainment Systems Inc. is seeking to hire a Full Time Training Instructor. The ideal candidate will develop tests, maintain and deliver training programs and related materials in support of relatively complex products and procedures. This position will require travel domestic and international.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of training programs in support of the operation and maintenance of Department of Defense (DoD) customer equipment
  • Develop tests, maintain and deliver training programs and procedures
  • Develop formal instructional lesson plans, student guides, and student handouts in support of training courses
    • Task based training/curriculum development utilizing ADDIE methodologies in accordance with instructional system design (ISD) training development guidance such as TRADOC Regulation (TR) 350-70
  • Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
  • Assists in the state-of-the-art training processes including Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Development Capability (TDC)
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct formal technical operation and maintenance training
  • Provide short notice, on-site, product support, troubleshooting and repair
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned #LSYS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience and education in a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience of classroom instructions
  • Technical training in design and development
