Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple full time Field Service Supervisors for our Bridgeton, MO facility responsible for leading and supervising a team of Field Service Technicians of all skill levels providing leadership and technical support to technicians of DRS Land Systems products through prototyping, testing, fielding, and follow-on support stages of various programs to internal and external customers. This role requires strong leadership, troubleshooting skills, and frequent field and site visits. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader who can address situations as they arise, while keeping the bigger picture goals of the department, and business, in mind. Adaptability and communication are key traits for the ideal candidate and require travel to onsite locations for leadership and event coordination efforts as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising a group of field service engineers and/or technicians on an activity and completion of activity on time and budget
- Travel to onsite locations for leadership and event coordination efforts as needed
- Manage budget, cost and schedule input for field service activities
- Ensure the support provided focuses on achieving high customer satisfaction results
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- Participate in the preparation of proposals
- Supervise and direct the work of others as assigned
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
- Learn and enforce the company travel policies
- Ensure the team being led is safety minded while performing and address any safety concerns as required
- Mentor members of the team to help grow and expand their technical competency as required
- Participate in interviews for hiring new field service engineers and/or technicians as required
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Field Service
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities and proven experience leading people
- Must have a solid level of understanding in multiple technical competencies (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc…)
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office/service software
- Ability to travel up to 50% to CONUS and OCONUS (Outside the Contiguous United States) locations
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The salary range for this position is $79,919.00/year- $103,895.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
