Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Contracts Administrator. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work and in person or remote schedule.The Contracts Administrator will support senior contracts personnel by maintaining contract and CDRL data within our Contract Management Software, ensuring accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting from pre‑award through closeout. This role will administer spares contracts from initial quotation through delivery and final payment, and oversee performance on government contracts. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the negotiation and administration of agreements with customers, subcontractors, and vendors, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor contract performance on government contracts
  • May assist with the negotiation and administration of agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for reviewing contract solicitation terms, handling contract award confirmations, interpreting agreement terms and conditions and identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments/modifications and incorporating changes
  • Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, identify risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions
  • Respond to standard inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
  • Conduct fulfillment of contract deliverables, billings and cash collections
  • Prepare proposals for customer requirements
  • Prepare and analyze moderately complex price proposals
  • Data entry and negotiation of standard terms and conditions
  • Monitor contract performance and cost controls and ensure compliance with contract terms
  • Assist with preparing teaming agreements, MOUs, MOAs, and domestic and international consultant/sales representative agreements and other contractual agreements
  • Under direction, prepare contractual documents, including the preparation of contract terms and conditions, and assemble contract documentation package
  • Participate in management review of proposals/contracts and in the conduct of program reviews
  • Maintain effective internal and external customer relations
  • May prepare  export license applications
  • May provide subcontract negotiation and management
  • Perform special projects as requested
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend DRS’ mission, values and culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Contract/agreement briefing, negotiation and review experience
  • Experience in monitoring contracts/subcontracts of increasing complexity and value
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of:
    • Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
    • Terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use
    • Government intellectual property (IP)/software and data rights clauses and IP marking guidelines
    • Source selection/evaluation process including cost and price analysis
    • Requirements for and experienced in administration of government property
  • Understanding of contract/purchase order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process including sole source and competitive procurements
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention
  • Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, POs teaming and other forms of agreements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Contract/agreement briefing, negotiation and review experience
  • Knowledge of Costpoint and/or Unison
  • Knowledge of AI Tools such as Chat GPT, Grok, and/or Claude

The salary range for this position is ($66,049.00/year - $85,864.00/year) for the state of Illinois and Minnesota.This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
