Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking Basic Assemblers for our Electronic Assembly and Testing Center (EATC) in Bridgeton, MO. This entry level position will be responsible for basic electrical and/or mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, using tools to connect parts, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Assemblers play a vital role in manufacturing by ensuring products are built correctly and meet specifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs basic assembly functions, which may include: preparation of product for assembly, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and visual inspection of products or sub-assemblies, utilizing work instructions, models and/or drawings
- Performs very simple assemblies and hardware installation of screws, washers, and nuts, possessing a basic understanding of build documentation
- Performs pull-test and verify tooling, using hand tools and torque wrenches
- Interprets work instructions & assembles multiple units in an assembly process
- Performs basic troubleshooting
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
- Basic execution and understanding of 5S principles
- Must be able to operate basic hand tools and pneumatic tools
- Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing documentation including: routers, parts list, work instructions, etc
- May be required to perform more specialized manufacturing duties such as: wire prep, auto bond, and sleeving.
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and their operation
- Familiarization of blueprints and wiring schematics
- Soldering experience is a plus
The expected pay scale for this position is $28,366.00/year - $35,457.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
