Job Summary
The Systems Architect – Costpoint and Solumina Integration Developer supports enterprise manufacturing operations by analyzing business requirements and delivering reliable integrations between Deltek Costpoint and iBaseT Solumina (iSeries). This role partners with ERP Services, end users, and IT teams across multiple sites to translate business needs into technical solutions, troubleshoot MES and integration issues, and implement disciplined SDLC-based enhancements that minimize future maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
• Gather and document business and system requirements; map and document end-to-end business process flows for MES, Quality, and Manufacturing use cases.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integrations between Costpoint and Solumina using a structured SDLC approach.
• Configure and support Deltek Costpoint Integration Engine, including troubleshooting integration logs and interface failures.
• Administer and support Solumina environments (G8 and iSeries), including system setup, code maintenance, licensing, and global parameters.
• Support Solumina manufacturing execution capabilities such as routing/operational plans, operation steps, data collections, and standard operations.
• Support shop floor execution processes including work order processing, alterations, sign on and sign off transactions, and as-built configuration updates.
• Support discrepancy and quality workflows (initiating discrepancies, dispositions, rework work orders, inspection planning, inspection steps, and resolution of quantity mismatches).
• Partner with reporting stakeholders to define operational and executive reporting needs and coordinate implementation/validation with report developers.
• Provide user enablement through one-on-one and instructor-led or web-based training; develop training materials aligned to the business process and user community.
• Coordinate with Costpoint and Solumina managers and other internal resources to standardize processes and promote best practices across implementations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, mathematics, information technology, computer sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with Deltek Costpoint, especially Manufacturing, Production Control, Inventory Management, and Integration Engine setup/processes.
• Demonstrated expertise with iBaseT Solumina (both G8 and iSeries), including key modules such as Process Planning, Work Order Processing, Discrepancies, Inspection Orders, and BIS Administration.
• Integration development skills including XML, XSLT, and exposure to Java and Costpoint extensibility concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot Solumina and interface issues using internal/external ticketing systems and log analysis (including Solumina BIS Administration logs).
• Strong SQL skills, including writing SQL scripts in SQL Server Management Studio.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Experience with Costpoint MRP and manufacturing operational processes.
• Experience administering Solumina systems (Login ID setup, code maintenance, licensing, global parameters).
• Familiarity with Web UI Configurator for Solumina iSeries (training can be provided).
• Potential Travel may be required for both Domestic and International.
