Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Location: Lemont Furnace PA (Uniontown area)

Primary and Essential Accountabilities

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing tasks as directed which includes the following but is not limited to these tasks:

Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electronics systems
May include Hardware, Power Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Components or others
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed
Compile and evaluate design and test data
Analyze, develop and recommend design approaches
Support and participate in technical activity
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
Ability to work independently under supervision of others
Provide regular reporting of progress and status
Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
May participate in preparation of less complex proposals
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE, BSEET, or BSEMET)
Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge
Must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate level of government issued security clearance and/or access
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Understanding of basic electronic component data sheet information (capacitors, transistors, resistors, connector, etc.)
Experience with basic test and measurement equipment (power supplies, DVMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.)

Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

Coursework involving analytical models of electrical circuits / systems using SPICE tools (OrCAD, Saber, EAGLE, LTspice, KiCAD, etc.)
Basic software programming skills with either high or low level languages
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Good interpersonal communication skills
Previous experience using MRP tools such as Deltek Costpoint is a plus
Previous experience with version control and defect tracking systems is a plus

Physical Requirements

Lifting (up to 20 lbs.): up to 25% of time
Walking: up to 25% of time
Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
Sitting: up to 75% of time
Travel: up to 10% of time

AAC works on a 9/80 compressed work schedule whereby employees work 80 hours in 2 weeks with every other Friday off.
