Job Location:  High Ridge, MO

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments, including shipments to both domestic and international customers, and distribution centers and branches within the organization along with associated documentation as required
  • Utilize economical and efficient traffic/transportation services for the organization and its customers
  • Schedule and coordinate the routing of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Utilize rates, delivery terms, freight rates, and classifications with carriers as negotiated through corporate freight agreements
  • Analyze carrier service performance
  • Implement new freight procedures and methods to reduce costs
  • Examine and approve payment of bills
  • Resolve claims for loss or damage
  • Prepare shipping documentation such as: bills of lading, packing lists, certifications, or inspections
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, freight carries, and suppliers
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
     

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience
